NCGA Tournaments

The Sonoma-Marin-Napa Chapter of EWGA is an associate member of the Northern California Golf Association and most of our members maintain their handicaps through the NCGA. The NCGA offers its members a number of benefits, not the least of which is the opportunity to play in its tournaments.

NCGA Tournaments
Do you love to compete? Would you like to represent our EWGA SMN Chapter at NCGA tournaments? Some NCGA tournaments are co-ed, accepting both men and women in the same competition. In all NCGA Net Competitions, women will compete from the forward tees. There are also specific competitions for women only. And, if you advance to any championship proper, our Chapter will reward you for representing us by paying your championship proper entry fees.

Club Events

In Club events, each Club (our Chapter) chooses who will represent the Club in the NCGA club tournaments – usually through an intraclub qualifying event. To enter these events, you must be a member in good standing in this Chapter and submit an application to the Chapter NCGA Tournament Chair. The Chapter will use one of its regular events to double as the Chapter qualifier to determine who will represent the Chapter at the various NCGA tournaments.

The first of these competitions is the 13th Annual Associate Club Four-Ball Net Championship, which is a two-person net better ball competition. We will be conducting our intraclub qualifying event at our first Windsor GC League Day, Sunday, April 2nd. Deadline for entering the intraclub qualifying is Thursday, March 30th. Individual Events
Any NCGA member can choose to enter the NCGA individual (not club) events. If you want to apply for individual events, you should obtain the tournament information and entry forms directly from NCGA through the NCGA website at www.ncga.org. There are handicapped events as well as a number of tournaments that are designed for championship level golfers only. It is important, when filling out your entry application, that you list your NCGA membership number and club number (listed above and on your index card).
