Handicap Information
Now EWGA members have a choice of two viable handicap serivces - the current Northern California Golf Assoc. (NCGA) Handicap Service (for an annual fee of $45.00 for Initial/Transfer members and $35.00 for renewing members), or, free to all EWGA members, the USGA handicap index using the new EWGA Golf Life Management Services.
If you wish to use or continue with the handicap service of the NCGA, download the NCGA Flyer to establish a new handicap, re-activate your handicap, or to transfer your handicap to EWGA-SMN from another club.

Remember, an increasing number of Chapter Events and League venues require a Handicap Index for participation.

| How to Establish Your Handicap |
To start using the USGA handicap index system of the new EWGA Golf Life Management Services:- Go to www.ewga.com and click on the "Golf Life Management System" link on the left panel.
To establish your handicap index using the NCGA Handicap Service:- You can do so by submitting scorecards for five rounds, accumulated by one of the following three options:
- Ten 9-hole rounds of golf;
- Five 18-hole rounds of golf; OR
- A combination of 9-hole and 18-hole rounds that total 5 rounds of golf.
- Each scorecard must be legible, dated, 'signed' by you, and 'attested' by a playing partner. Each card must also include a score for each hole and your total score, and must indicate which tees you played from along with the course slope and rating from those tees.
- Send your collected cards, the NCGA Flyer, and a check for $45 payable to EWGA to our handicap chair:
